Named GP For All Patients

From the 1st of April 2015, the practice is required under the terms of the latest GP contract to allocate all patients a named accountable GP. This GP has responsibility for the co-ordination of all appropriate services required under the contract and ensure they are delivered to each of their patients where required, based on the GP’s clinical judgement.

We have made every effort to make all patients aware of whom their named GP is. If however you are unsure please ask the receptionists when you are next in the surgery.

Having a named GP does not prevent you seeing any other doctor in the practice. Your named GP will not be available at all times and if your needs are urgent, you may need to discuss them with an alternative doctor. All your records are available to every GP in the surgery.

This notice applies to all our patients including children. Patients over 75 have already been informed of their named GP.
